Hi,
I saw someone else ask this about a month or two ago and I never knew if
there was a solution.
First off, there's no firewall that should be an issue here.
We have some Mandrake 9.2 machines (kernel 2.4.22) and some Mandrake
10.0 machines (kernel 2.6.3). The 9.2 machines are running Ganglia
(2.5.5) just fine and dandy. But, the 10.0 machines almost seem to be
having a multicast issue. gmond seems to be up and running on them fine,
but when gmetad tries to get the XML data, nothing is returned and the
following error is found in /var/log/messages:
Apr 27 11:14:24 loki /usr/sbin/gmond[10517]: server_thread() Host
aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd tried to connect and was refused
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Anything is much appreciated!
