Ok, I've seen a number of threads that have mentioned this but didn't see a solid solution:
I am trying to send a gmetric string value like such: gmetric --mcast_if=eth0 --mcast_port=8649 --name=Fan_1 --type=string --value=ok --slope=zero and although I can telnet to the localhost port 8649 and see it there, the web page for that node does not get updated with this information... I thought the --slope=zero was for constant metrics... I am using 2.5.6 Gmetad/Gmond and 2.5.5-1 web frontend running on an RH 3.0 opteron system. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
