I have two clusters (say c1 and c2), each with a head node (h1 and h2) and a web-server. I have installed gmond on all nodes and head nodes in c1 and c2. I have installed gmetad and rrdtools in both head nodes and the web server. The intent is to have the gmetad on head node gather its cluster's info for reading by the gmetad on the web server and keep the cluster info separate by use of two data_source entries. Do I need to use a different multicast port and/or XML port on the second cluster gmetad and web server gmetad to keep the two pools of info separate?? Our lab has several clusters so I need to solve this problem for 2 and more clusters. Many thanks to anyone who can answer!
