I just found the following on the Ganglia wiki:
        RRD Settings

I need to change the RRD archive settings to gather high
resolution data out beyond an hour. I noticed that there is a
CVS commit that brings control of this into gmetad.conf. I
really need to change this nowish. I'm fine with hard-coding the
changes I need into gmetad/rrd_helpers.c if this looks like the
        best option.

My question is: How stable is CVS HEAD? Are there any plans for
a new release anytime soon? If I apply this hack myself to a
local 2.5.6 source tree, are there any other files I may need to
modify for Ganglia to function correctly?

Since this is something I need for our server monitoring, does anyone
know how stable the CVS head is and/or how easy it would be to patch
2.5.6 to add this functionality to gmetad?

Thanks!
