Hi List!
After failing to build the 2.5.7-gmetad's on our solaris systems, we
tried 3.0.0. We were deliighted to see them compile without errors and
even more pleased when they started to run and produce some data.
Unfortunately the memory metrics are somewhat screwed: Used memory shows
up OK, but the free memory is accounted for as 'swapped memory' in the
memory summary chart. The detail charts are fine, though: free memory
shows up as mem_free, used memory as mem_used (mem_cached, mem_buffered
and mem_shared are always zero. But I guess this is the way it should be
here, no?)
gmetad is version 2.5.7 on a linux system, gmond's are mostly 2.5.7
except on solaris where we use 3.0.0. We probably either made a simple
configuration error or this is simply a case of 'don't mix it that way,
then'. Any suggestions would be welcome!
