Folks,

I'm setting up Ganglia on my cluster I'm upgrading to RHEL 3. I'm using
3.0.0 but I've also tested gmond from 2.5.5. The problem I'm having is
that gmond doesn't report any metrics or host information. The gmond
daemon does appear to be running properly. I do get XML output from it.
In debug mode I see it collecting metrics. However the XML looks like:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] log]# telnet localhost 8649
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1).
Escape character is '^]'.
[snip DTD stuff]
<GANGLIA_XML VERSION="3.0.0" SOURCE="gmond">
<CLUSTER NAME="unspecified" LOCALTIME="1110514798" OWNER="unspecified"
LATLONG="unspecified" URL="unspecified">
</CLUSTER>
</GANGLIA_XML>
Connection closed by foreign host.

Both gmetad and gmond have the basic, out of the box, default
configurations.

The gmond from 2.5.5 does the same. I'm really baffled as to what I am
missing here. Obviously, the web frontend reports zero hosts no matter
how many hosts are running gmond. It is quite confused.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jack Neely
