I have an Applescript (well -it's really a shell script) that launches gmond/gmetad after a user logs in..... (i.e. if you are using multiple user login)

I also have a Applescript that restarts gmond in case you have a machine go offline and then rejoin (this is the case where you might have a laptop that is being monitored and you are using DHCP)

Has anyone gotten Gmond/Gmetad to run on startup on OS X? I've tried pretty much everything apple has listed (http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/ BPSystemStartup/Concepts/BootProcess.html), from StartupItems (/Library/StartupItems) to Bootstrapping (/etc/mach_init.d), with no luck.
