Hi all, sorry for the, probably, stupid question.
I just installed all the ganglia latest stuff on a beowulf-like cluster,
so in a typical configuration (headnode with two NICs, one 10.0.3.2
going to the external world and the other 192.168.1.254 going to the
compute nodes, which are on the 192.168.1.0 network). On gmetad.conf on
the headnode I just edited the lines:
data_source "apecluster" localhost
gridname "APE Lab"
The gmond.conf files are the same on the headnode and in the compute
node(s), just with the part:
cluster {
name = "apecluster"
owner = "INFN RM2 APE Group"
}
that differs from the default conf.
It just happens that from the web frontend I see only the headnode,
appearing as 10.0.3.2, not its hostname, and not the other nodes. Where
am I wrong? What did I miss that I have to feel shame of?
Notice that there are no firewall in the 192.168.1.0 network and I even
put gmond in the hosts.allow file. All machines are Fedora Core 3.
TIA
Roberto
