Hi folks, I thought this would surely be a FAQ, but I can't find it anywhere in the docs or archives.
I've finally got a little time to upgrade Ganglia here. Will I be able to keep my old RRD files and use them with the new version, or will they not be compatible? Will doing the upgrade (actually, I'll probably install from source) overwrite the existing data files? Also...I'm running gmonds on somewhere around 3500+ nodes. Quite large. Am I just kidding myself thinking about going the unicast route instead of multicasting between my nodes? It's not a huge deal either way, but I know it would make my network team happy to be able to turn off multicast traffic in a few places. Thanks!
