Since ganglia 3 now supports unicast (great for those one-off machines
not situated within a cluster), I was wondering if anyone else has given
this any thought - encrypting the unicast data in transit. I can think
of a couple of ways to accomplish this: use stunnel, SSH port forwarding
etc...

This would get unmanageable rather quickly for a large cluster, again
I'm talking about those one-off unicast machines (although it would be
nice if future ganglia releases supported some sort of shared key to
optionally encrypt the cluster/multicast traffic as well).
