All,I'm in the progress of building out a performance test harness that will beat the heck out of a fairly large grid, I have a question wrt. gmetad configuration.
Namely, I see that there are a variety of RRA's that can be specified, to deal with the timeseries data differentially... The question that i have is having different metrics use different RRA's within their RRD's. So let me ask:
1) a nagging question.. why aren't collection groups placed in the RRDs as different DS's? 2) can I specify more than one RRA in gmetad.conf, and if so how do I associate a specific rrd, collection group, or metric with that RRA?
