G'day all I'd apprecite the collective wisdom of the listenvolken on a problem I'm having.
Ganglia 3.0.3 via RPM onto FC4. (RRD independantly installed prior) Post install, all went swimmingly from gmonds and gmetad to the php web front end. Sweeet. Reboot all... now nothing from gmetad to the RRD. Debug mode on gmond's show all is well. Debug on gmetad shows clean ups, the data is 2.5 etc all as expected... but never any mention of RRD activities... ever... after like a day... zip, nada, zilch. Default location of RRDs is still happy, no permission changes etc. So putting this down to some 'strange behaviour' I uninstall gmetad RPM. Wipe RRDs. Reinstall. All is well... until next reboot >:/ Seems as if gmetad has 'lost' the RRD databases. (If I manually move the RRD's elsewhere gmetad complains at startup so it seems to be checking existance) Thoughts, comments, and polite interrogation welcomed. Cheers Steve
