Hi,
I just installed ganglia 3.0.3, following the
instructions at http://ganglia.info/docs/ganglia.html
and http://ganglia.info/docs/gmond.conf.html. I
configured, compiled and installed with no errors on
an x86_32 machine running RHEL 4 update 3. make check
also ran OK.
I installed the gmetad and gconfd startup scripts
after configuring gconfd.conf and gmetad.conf, and
started the services. As a baseline before
configuring ganglia for cluster nodes, I figured I'd
just configure gmetad.conf for localhost, with the
default polling period of 10 and the default port,
like this:
data_source "Webserver" localhost
The gmetad and gmond processes are running and
listening on the right ports:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# lsof -i | grep gmeta
gmetad 21357 nobody 4u IPv4 259736 TCP
*:8651 (LISTEN)
gmetad 21357 nobody 5u IPv4 259737 TCP
*:8652 (LISTEN)
You have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# lsof -i | grep gmond
gmond 11836 nobody 3u IPv4 179801 TCP
*:8649 (LISTEN)
but gstat shows nothing:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# gstat --all
