We use these three rules, first one allows the gmetad server to contact the local gmond, second one to allow incoming gmond multicast data and the third to allow multicast igmp packets:
-A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp -m state --state NEW -s gmetad_server_ip --dport 8649 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p udp -m udp -d 239.2.11.71 --dport 8649 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p igmp -j ACCEPT ~Jason On Thu, 2007-11-29 at 17:11 +0000, Miah, W (Wadud) wrote: > Does anyone have a set of iptables rules that will allow a node to run > in a cluster with gmond running? > > Thanks in advance. > > ------------ > Wadud Miah > Scientific Computing Systems Support > High Performance Computing Services Group, e-Science, RAL > 01235 446 794 > ------------ > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > SF.Net email is sponsored by: The Future of Linux Business White Paper > from Novell.
