Hi there,

I'm trying to compile Ganglia to run on some Mac systems. My laptop is
running OS X 10.4.11, and with both Ganglia 3.06 and 3.05, I see this
behaviour:

-- cut --
checking if POSIX sems affect threads in the same process... yes
checking if SysV sems affect threads in the same process... no
checking if fcntl locks affect threads in the same process... no
checking if flock locks affect threads in the same process... no
checking for entropy source... /dev/random

Checking for Time Support...
checking for tm_gmtoff in struct tm... yes

Checking for Networking support...
checking for in_addr in netinet/in.h... yes
checking if fd == socket on this platform... yes
checking if TCP_NODELAY setting is inherited from listening sockets...
-- cut --

and './configure' just sits there, interminably.

If I look for the port that the 'conftest' program has bound using something
like lsof and then telnet to it, ./configure continues running and
eventually finishes as expected.

So my question is this -- has anyone else observed this behaviour with the
ganglia configurator? Is this expected behaviour?

thanks,
Klaus
