I hit this last week, when I edited /etc/php.ini to change the value of the display_errors parameter from Off to On to help debug some PHP changes I've been making. I believe the errors are happening all the time, but by default you just don't get to see the messages. I haven't had time yet to fix them. I'm using version 3.0.6.
