Rudimentary filtering already exists on the "interactive" port:  8652.

Basically, you can restrict the output by /cluster, /cluster/host, and
/cluster/host/metric.  However, you cannot currently query for
"cpu_user" from all hosts (yet).  There was some discussion at the
recent meet-up about extending this somewhat.
