Definately.  I've rolled a custom package for internal distribution in 
which I add two directories:

* config/: Various gmond.conf's to speed up deployment (I'm 100% unicast.)
* var/svc/: Where I include my SMF manifests.

I put all that in a tar and put it on a private web server so 
deployments consist of wget, tar, cp, svccfg import, and I'm done. 
Super simply on 50+ node rollouts.

I'm building Ganglia on Solaris Express: Community Release snv_68 and 
the build process was a braindead standard one: ./configure --prefix .. 
&& gmake && gmake install.  I wish all software built so easily cross 
platform.

I'm certainly willing to help with packaging Ganglia for Solaris any time.
