So, in my setups where the node running gmetad and serving up the web pages is running the gmond service and all the other nodes are reporting to that, if that gmond service restarts, you have to restart all the gmonds reporting to it after it is restarted. I have no idea why this is and it feels like a bug to me but I don't know what the design philosophy was so...
