We try to build most things internally. There are good reasons which I'll 
gladly discuss with you off-list if you'd like, but suffice to say it 
would be useful to be able to compile Ganglia ourselves. I have no idea 
how to proceed from here though, short of compiling without python. Advice 
welcome!
