You want to look at the "modular_reports" that was added in a recent release (3.1.x--so you should be okay). This makes it much simpler to add new reports over the previous graph.php code. There is fairly detailed documentation here: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/ganglia/wiki/ganglia_modular_graph_documentation, and there are a number of very heavily commented report files in the graph.d directory.
