Greetings All,
I am attempting to create gmond rpm packages to be installed on x86_64 cluster
nodes running CentOS 5.3 and 5.4. When I attempt to run the command "rpmbuild
-ba --target x86_64 ganglia.spec" I receive the errors:
/usr/lib/libexpat.so: could not read symbols: File in wrong format
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [libganglia.la] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/ganglia-3.1.2/lib'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/ganglia-3.1.2'
make: *** [all] Error 2
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.39072 (%build)
RPM build errors:
Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.39072 (%build)
I have attempted to manual modify the library locations within the spec file
manually, but to no avail. When I successfully compilied from source, I added
--libdir=/usr/lib64 to the configure command. I attemtped to append this
directive to the "configure --with-gmetad" line to no avail...any ideas?
