Fernando, I have 3.1.7 working with two patches on a Power7 machine where SMT modes can change with every job. The important patch for me is one I just submitted to the list, to allow cpu_num_func to continue to update cpu_num after the gmond starts. Once gmond is allowed to change the number of cpus seen on the fly, your cpu stats all fall into line.
Basically, I just edited libmetrics/linux/metrics.c and removed an if statement from around the get_nprocs() line in cpu_num_func() -- Chandler Wilkerson Rice University On 05/11/2010 12:27 PM, Fernando Buenconsejo wrote: > > > Greetings, > > Has anyone configured Ganglia3.1.7 to monitor IBM Power5/6 CPUs > utilization while the SMT (Simultaneous Multi-Threading) feature is > on?
