Thanks a lot for all the hints. If found now a (quick) fix by replacing
in ganglia.php (three times) the line
$metricname = $attrs['NAME'];
with
$metricname = rawurlencode( $attrs['NAME'] );
Tomorrow, I will try to fill in a bug report - and I will check if my
patch is not breaking other things.
