Greetings,

(Apologies if this is an FAQ or the wrong list.)

I'm developing a plug-in for PostgreSQL along the lines of the existing mysqld
plug-in. I'd like the installer of the plug-in to be able to specify a list of
tables to monitor as well as metrics that are generic across the entire
database. Looking at the API for the plug-ins, it looks like it only returns
scalar value, rather than enumerated values like { 'table1': size, 'table2':
size... }

Is there a standard way of handling these kind of situations?

TIA,
--
