Hi everyone,

I am trying to get Ganglia compiled and installed within a simple script
which I am writing, all goes well however I am experiencing the
following things.

When I navigate to the server, I get the below message:

There was an error collecting ganglia data (127.0.0.1:8652): fsockopen
error: Connection refused

So gmetad is not running, I issue a service gmetad start and this comes
back OK. I now do a service gmetad status and the result is:

gmetad is dead, but subsys is locked.

I can post my .conf files if needed, but can anyone shed some light on
this situation.

I am running 64 bit RedHat Enterprise 5 on a VM, SELinux is disabled and
so is the firewall.

Cheers,
