You need to add this script in crontab of a server in which your application is 
running.Lets say if your application is running in host1 server, add this 
script in host1's crontab such that it should run every minute. This will 
generate metrics under hostname "host1".

I want to implement a gmetric. To implement one, do I need to create a virtual 
host or something else?
I am taking a look at this for example,

But, what graph will this go under?  There is no specification just a command. 
$GMETRIC --name PBSJOBS --type uint16 --units jobs --value $QSTAT
