Could you check and confirm contents of RRDs? (by default:
/var/lig/ganglia/rrds) - are those being updated, if the contents are valid?

(You could use rrdtool to export rrd data to XML format; or open it
directly to your vim: http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=460)

Maybe for some reason general data for cluster / grid are ok, but specific
hosts data is corrupted..?
