We use aggregate cpu_idle for a lot of our back of the envelope capacity 
calculations.  It's nice to have a single number to look at.

A buch of our servers have hyperthreading enabled and several people 
running code on said servers say that the cpu_idle is more/less than 
they expect.  Does hyperthreading skew cpu_idle in any predicable way?
