Hello all,
hope you all had some enoyable holidays.
We got the following problem. When setting up ganglia using the official
Debian repo packages and the default configuration files, the webfrontend
fails to show metrics for the machine that is set as the data source for
the cluster. The webfrontend does show the data source as up, you can see
information about the CPU and all but the graphs are all empty. They're
there but empty. We've also come to notice that the specified data source
appears with its FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name). This seems to be the
case for all machines defined in the /etc/hosts file (which contains the
data source machine itself and another). The /etc/hosts file has the
following format IP FQDN alias .
What could be the cause of this?
If you need any more info, please tell me. But as I said we're basically
using the default settings for gmond as well as gmetad.
