Is there documentation or an example somewhere for using the C library to send (spoof) metrics à la gmetric, but as an add-on to a daemon?
The application is for a "plugin" in a multi-threaded system to spoof metrics with no initialization hook, so it would need information on thread safety, startup, and error handling, I guess. I could read the gmond code if someone can say whether that would be a good enough example for the different context.
