One quick sanity check: where do we want information to end up? Is the
ALU Wiki used primarily to give us a repository for brainstorming, or
are we putting more 'public' info there?
Yesterday evening, I answered Peter that I would work on a static page for a future Gardeners projects page which would eventually be hosted on lispniks.com
But now that I've seen what has already been done on the alu wiki, I think my time would be better spent trying to just come up with a more green-and-brownish css for the current alu wiki. The idea would be to continue using the alu wiki for a time, and then to simply move the content in a new wiki on
lispniks.com (if Peter agrees to hosts this).
Any objection ? We need coordination here and I don't want to duplicate effort any more than you do... Anyway, I'm going to do this little css exercise this evening.
As for your question : imho, information should end on lispniks.com, as I agree with peter when he says that all this should remain independant.
The same sort of question applies to the CL Directory that's been fired
up. Are we intending for that to be a destination that we point Lisp
newbies to for first-glance information? Or are we using it as a
storing house for data which we'll process into an edited form on
lispniks.com?
I'm pretty confused about how we intend to use it, too :) All I know is that I'd love to see it replace cliki as a target for asdf-install, eventually. That is, the ideas of Eric Enge at :
As for its use for the Gardeners project proper, I don't see how we can use a directory for now. To follow up on Peter's advice : we should keep things simple. And imho, failing to see how something can be used probably means that we just don't need it (yet).
