Well, I got started. I'm calling my module SLIMPL: Superior Lisp
Interaction Mode for Perl. So far I have 75 lines of a Perl module
that doesn't do much more than open a socket to Swank. WooHoo. ;)

When I have enough code that I can actually connect to Swank, send a
Lisp expression, and get back the result, I'll post it. (Don't look
for anything before Christmas.)

Note: I will ignore Vim for the moment. When we do start the Vim
part, I propose the name of SLIM-Vim. Oh the other hand, then #1 on
the FAQ list will be "Is SLIM-Vim a stripped down version of Vim?"
Maybe we should step away from derivatives of the "SLIME" acronym and
merely allude to it. Perhaps call it "Venkman"
(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087332/quotes#qt0124025). But a
Javascript debugger project also uses that name. Oh well. Cross that
bridge when we get to it. :)

Anyway, feel free to ask for updates on this list or in private email.
Queries = interest; interest => motivation.
