That is indeed a better solution, and I agree that in theory moving to a more controlled web page really is no more secure. But it does raise the bar for an attacker - having to compromise our page rather than edit a Wiki. I still think that we should implement the band-aid solution first & quickly lower the risk of attack, and then implement a ring of trust.
