Sounds as though gtk+ is picking up an older pango install without Xft configured -- at the moment, GARNOME doesn't explicitly depend on Xft, although there is a local copy in bootstrap/ if you don't already have it installed. > I would like to see if the 2.11 development snapshot now works with gcc > 4.0.0 (living dangerously) as well.
