For GARNOME-2.10.2:
"We" need to retreat from gtk+-2.6.9 => gtk+-2.6.8.

Proof by existence

* back out of gtk+-2.6.9
- set up the GARNOME runtime environment [paths, variables, etc]
- run 'make uninstall' from the work directory
* build and install gtk+-2.6.8.
==> epiphany-1.6.[45] is now very happy.
Menu picks "work" more than once.
