That looks like an librsvg problem rather than a gnome-games problem. The drawing code in these programs hasn't changed in a year and we haven't had any drawing problems reported in either aisleriot or mahjongg during that time.
You might like to check that the SVG gdkpixbuf loader is installed correctly. You could be facing a problem with an old loader and a new library interacting badly. Use gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders, find the svg entry and look to see what loader it is using (the first line of the entry). Development of gnome-games is currently conducted with librsvg 2.9.5-0ubunutu3.
