Yes, I am running FC4 for the amd64 processor (see #6.)
I started all over again:
Deleted everything in /tmp/garnome-2.12.0 except the 228 downloaded tarballs.
1. unpacked garnome-2.12.0.tar.bz2 to $HOME
2. edited gar.conf.mk, and changed:
#GARCHIVEDIR = /home/pd/src/arch/gnome/garnome/DOWNLOAD
to:
GARCHIVEDIR = /home/ddnext/tarballs
(two nights of downloads on a dial up to get 228 tarballs)
3. cd /home/ddnext/garnome-2.12.0/desktop
4. make paranoid-install
5. get same old error message: http://pastebin.com/363675
6. got your pango-1.2.5-lib64.patch patch
7. cd garnome-2.12.0/platform/pango/work/main.d/pango-1.10.0/pango
8. patch < pango-1.2.5-lib64.patch
(My dir is pango-1.10.0. Your patch says pango-1.2.5. Does it matter? Again,
I have no clue.)
9. I got:
patching file Makefile.am
Hunk #1 succeeded at 17 (offset 1 line).
patching file modules.c
Hunk #1 succeeded at 484 with fuzz 1 (offset 131 lines).
patching file Makefile.in
Hunk #1 succeeded at 290 (offset 155 lines).
10. cd /home/ddnext/garnome-2.12.0/desktop
11. make paranoid-install
12. again same old error message: http://pastebin.com/363675
I appreciate your patience.
