This problem has appeared in the past. It seems to be distro dependent. You
may want to do a goggle search.
Questions:
* What distro are you running?
* Is firefox or mozilla installed by the distro?
* if so, what version?

change:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH := $(libdir):$(LD_LIBRARY_PATH)
to
LD_LIBRARY_PATH := $(libdir):$(libdir)/firefox-1.5.0.6:$(LD_LIBRARY_PATH)
