Please, everyone,
Make sure you are subscribed to the list *before* posting. The list
moderation just adds to my support load and work. The last few days I
have manually approved a couple of posts. (Yes, I am aware this most
likely will not reach those that still didn't subscribe...)
I am not sure where the majority of these posts by not subscribers comes
from, and how to clearly state that you should subscribe before posting.
I probably should think about the current policy -- and switch to *not*
approve posts, but reject them with some clear instructions. Approving
posts usually will result in a dead thread anyway, since unless the OP
isn't Cc'd, there won't be a response and he won't see the answer in the
first place. Oh my...
Comments and opinions gladly appreciated. :)
I hope to find some time soon to get back to lists, too. Also, there are
some pretty old still-hold-for-moderation posts, I need to think about
how to handle...
Yes, I believe a strict subscribe-first policy would be in order. *sigh*
