Me for instance. But lyx is not WYSIWYG, so you don't see what you get
anyway.
If you see anything it takes forever.
I now set everything to don't display, and use ps or dvi view. So my lyx
view is not very exciting. So what? It is fast. It might be nice to have
the bounding box displayed the right size to let me know quickly that I
got the figure sized correctly, but other than that I am happy with the
blank box showing only the name of the figure file.
