I made a little progress for myself and LyX on the screenplay front.
My script, Silicon Prairie, won first prize in the Drama category
in Fade-In's 2001 Hollywood Scriptwriters Contest.
(There are 5 categories with 1st - 3d places plus the grand prize).
So I was in the top 6 of 3400. And so was LyX.
The script was done on LyX and with your class. Kudos amigo. Couldn't have
done it in a real OS without you and the lyxboys. You can forward
this to them with my thanks.
No six-figure phone calls so far but I just filled out the IRS W-9
for a small cash prize, a Waterman pen, some Windows screenplay software
(ech!) and a magazine subscription to Fade-In: mag. The next issue of
that will have the winners listed and it might be on fadeinonline.com
before that but was not there when I checked last.
I'm keepin' on with the writing and when I finally sell a script or
a novel the LyX team is going to have an internationally distributed
party on me.
