I have seen gasifiers with heat recovery, gas cleanup and then either internal 
combustion engines or gas turbines.

I'm sure you will get many comments on your request, but I suggest that you 
bracket your  power range more closely.
I'd suggest these brackets:
0 to 20 kwe
21 to 50 kwe
51 to 100 kwe
101 to 500 kwe
501 to 1000 kwe

Personally, I am hoping for many answers in the 21 to 50 kwe area.
