Hi Mark
I built a cyclone for my gasifier it is made from a 5" truck exhaust pipe.
It's heavy enough to disapate heat and welds very well. I entered with a 2"
pipe and axhausted with a 2" pipe. The conventional wisdom is 2:1 ratio
inlet pipe to dia.of the cyl.I have tried this unit a couple of times and it
works well. I understand the "cone" bottom is not a great advantage. I have
a simple drawing of it if you want one.
