Electrics have powerful enemies, but even car-specific charging stations don't pay a road tax, which would be reasonable. However, any goon with a badge can probably make trouble over emissions, if he wants to bother someone. Only fascist governments oppose energy independence, and their day may be over soon.

Is anyone aware of restrictions being placed on gasifiers in a form of expensive permits, enviromental impact studies, or some levy in leau of a fuel tax? It is not inconcievable, that if, and when gasifier use spreads, governments will sound an alarm for losing taxes and allowing people fuel independence. Any thoughts?
