Apologies if this is covered in the archives, but has anyone tried a
combustion chamber with fairly continuous mechanical agitation? It
might be combined with feeding the fire, compensating for variations
in feedstock and removing ash. If the ash is being moved as it
cools, it might fracture into fine grains, or stretch into fragile
fibers.
