Hi Dan,

We always have problems interpreting what people fail to communicate, when you
ask:

>Is a fluidized bed considered to be horizontal? Just thought that might be
>what they had in mind.

Always a possibility, but a grate and horizontal bed distance to nozzle
mentioned in Jai's question, most likely rules out fluidized beds. He will
probably reply later today, but most of India is in black-out due to
overloading of their distribution grids, so may not be able to reply for a
while.

It's ironic that in a place like a University that has energy studies, fails to
have renewables like gasification as back-up supply to the grid(:-)

Doug Williams,
Fluidyne.
