Dear ALL,

some sketches for such a continuous charring kiln are in my drawer.

It would be on the base of 3 oil drums welded together, and a unique device for off-loading and cooling the char.

A similar type of this CCS (Continuouse Carbonization System) i already built with bricks in Burundi.

I am looking for a suitable project place (country with low cost for work) and some partner to build such a prototype for a CCS-lite.

Dear AD,

Many of us are interested in your work on

> developing a kiln for continuous charring.

It is in reference to sugarcane leaves, but could possibly apply to

other biomass and even to drying (not just pyrolysis).

Please inform us whenever you are comfortable with sharing the info.

Generalities first. Eventually details. We wish you GREAT success

with something that has been a real challenge for far too long. I am

assuming that it is with relatively low cost, probably substantial

manual labor, and in the ARTI tradition of the Appropriate Rural

Technology Institute.
