I am preparing a brief history of biofuels (pre-1950). I can trace biomass gasification back to 1801, but I have run into a bit of a stumbling block of the Fischer-Tropsch process using wood or other biomass. I could not find any references until the 1970's. I found a report from NRC Canada from 1976 that only presented a theoretical analysis of biomass to liquid by FT. Any earlier references out there? Thanks for your help.
FYI - Once completed, I will be posting the report for all members of the gasification (and pyrolysis) lists. Gerald Kutney, Ph.D. Managing Director Sixth Element Sustainable Management Innovation can Move the World Executive Management Consultants for Start-ups www.6esm.com
