| Dear Jay, I am interested in the sales and marketing position myself. I have been a management consultant for many years and have been seeking exactly this type of role. A sales and marketing position with an engineering firm would be my ideal objective, and I am willing to consider relocation to the Bay Area as well. I have worked with two groups of professionals in my life, with energy engineers and lawyers. Engineers are by far the better teammates. My start in this arena was with BP years ago when it was still Amoco, and I worked with Amoco engineering. I worked as a consultant to Enron Energy Company marketing an engineering oversight division before their bankruptcy, and then more recently with a start-up attempting sewage sludge gasification. This was from 2008-2015. I secured a demonstration site for them with a sanitary district, but they withdrew from carrying on the project for lack of funds and other technical issues. Most recently, I worked with the Gas Technology Institute in the Chicago area, a great group of people and wonderful learning experience. I worked with them for 5 years, primarily because I brought them to the start-up project for a proof-of-process effort. I even was named in one of the patents and went to Washington with GTI to argue before the patent examiner that gasification was not burning. Please let me know if you would be willing to consider my application. I can then submit a more formal application. My credentials include an MBA from the University of Chicago business school.
